Julie Zaligson is a partner in the Real Estate Department.
Julie represents sophisticated property owners, sponsors, developers and borrowers in connection with acquisitions, sales, joint ventures, and financing transactions involving real property. Julie’s approach to working with clients is focused on finding ways to gets deals done while mitigating the legal risks and meeting the business needs of her clients.
Julie has significant experience representing clients in complex real estate transactions involving the following types of properties:
- Commercial – office buildings, retail, and mixed-use projects
- Multi-family projects
- Industrial projects
- Charter schools
Prior to joining ECJ, Julie was in-house counsel at Wireless Capital Partners, an investment company in the wireless industry.
Represented the buyer-operator in the $92MM purchase and financing of a 297,277 square foot office building in Aliso Viejo, California.
Represented the buyer-operator in the $41MM purchase of five buildings totaling 368,000 square feet in an office park in San Bernardino, California.
Represented the buyer-operator in the $47.9MM purchase and financing of a 213,000 square foot office complex in Encino, California.
Represented the buyer-operator in the $32.7MM purchase and financing of an office building and adjacent parking structure in Anaheim, California.
Represented the buyer-operator in the $39MM purchase and financing of office buildings in greater Salt Lake City, Utah. The transaction involved a tenants-in-common structure and was the replacement property in a 1031 exchange.
Represented the buyer-operator in the $32MM purchase and financing of a retail space in Park City, Utah.
Represented the seller in the sale of multifamily properties in Kansas City, Missouri for $49MM.
Represented the buyer in a value-add acquisition of two historic buildings in downtown Denver, Colorado.
Represented a social impact developer in the purchase of multiple properties in California and Nevada.
