Jeff Glassman | California Privacy Rights Act Seminar

02.23.2023
Location: Virtual Seminar
Seminar Time: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Jeffrey Glassman, Partner and Chair of ECJ’s Intellectual Property and Technology will be presenting "California Privacy Rights Act Seminar" on February 23, 2023 from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM.

On January 1, 2023, the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) went into effect bringing the employer-employee relationship under the purview of the privacy regulations previously focused on consumers.  For covered employers, this means new obligations and potential liabilities related to the collection, management, sharing, and protection of personal information of their employees, job applicants, and independent contractors.

This 1 hour, stand-alone seminar, will explain the potential impact of the end of the employee exemption under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and what employers need to consider as they prepare to comply with the new more robust and far reaching laws, regulations, and requirements of the CPRA.

Topics will include:

  • A brief background on the law and how we got here
  • Requirements under the law and what they mean for your business
  • Enforcement and consequences of noncompliance

This seminar offers information only and does not serve as or replace legal advice.

Don’t miss this opportunity to stay informed!
