Overview
Dara Kalish is a Partner in the Real Estate Group, where she advises developers, family offices, property owners, investors and real estate operators on a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, portfolio management matters and strategic business initiatives.
With more than 20 years of experience, Dara counsels clients on acquisitions and dispositions, leasing transactions, property management and operational issues, asset management matters and the day-to-day legal and business challenges associated with owning and operating commercial real estate portfolios. Clients value her practical, business-oriented approach and her ability to provide legal guidance that aligns with their operational and investment objectives.
Prior to joining the firm, Dara served as General Counsel of a privately held real estate investment and property management platform with a diversified portfolio of approximately 9 million square feet of commercial property and 10,000 residential units across nine states. In that role, she worked closely with executive leadership, asset managers, property managers and operations teams, providing strategic counsel on transactions, portfolio operations, risk management and business growth initiatives.
Dara's extensive in-house leadership experience gives her a unique perspective as outside counsel. Having sat on the client side of the table, she understands the commercial realities and operational considerations that drive decision-making in today's real estate market. She leverages that experience to help clients navigate complex transactions efficiently while managing risk and advancing business objectives.
