Kelly Scott Weighs In On Minimum Wage Panel

10.16.2015

On Thursday, Oct. 15, the Beverly Hills Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee (GAC) held an open forum for community members regarding a possible increase in the minimum wage for the City of Beverly Hills. The panel of speakers included employment law department head Kelly Scott, Dan Flaming (President of the L.A. Economic Roundtable), Matt Sutton (VP, Government Affairs for California Restaurant Association), and was moderated by Mitch Dawson.

The panel, followed by a Q & A discussion, focused on the minimum wage ordinance recently passed in the City of Los Angeles and what, if anything, the City of Beverly Hills should do in response. A central topic of discussion was the impact that a minimum wage increase would have upon the restaurant industry.
