Partner Robert Waxman receives exciting recognition from Thomson Reuters as a Stand-out Lawyer based on its survey of senior in-house counsel corporate counsel.

In response to Thompson Reuter’s survey, our client, Mazda, on its own initiative and unbeknownst to Bob, rated him as one of the top three most outstanding outside lawyers that it has worked with in the last three years.  Based on that ranking and similar written comments submitted by Mazda, Bob was then selected by Thompson Reuters as one of its “Stand-Out Lawyers 2024—independently rated.”  It also included Bob in the Thompson Reuters Stand-Out Lawyers database, which is used by legal departments worldwide to search for peer-recommended lawyers.  This came at no cost to ECJ.

Thomas Reuters has a database of over 20,000 client-nominated, stand-out lawyers in private practice. This is known as the Thomson Reuters Stand-out Lawyers database. The names have been volunteered by senior in-house counsel in large organizations, who are interviewed on an ongoing basis about the legal market in their global Sharplegal study. This means that the database is entirely free from law firm influence and contains individual lawyers who are among the most highly regarded - by clients around the world.

Robert’s areas of practice include general business, commercial, and information technology litigation. More specifically, breach of fiduciary relationships, partnership and shareholder disputes, class action litigation, unfair competition and misappropriation of trade secrets, employment disputes, RICO litigation, insurance coverage, and bad faith disputes.
