Joan B. Velazquez

Joan B. Velazquez is a partner at Ervin Cohen & Jessup LLP, where she is a member of the firm’s Real Estate, Taxation Law and Business & Corporate Law Departments.  In addition, she is a co-founder of the firm’s Family Business Law Group (www.fambizlaw.com).  She represents real estate owners, developers, investors, lenders, contractors and asset managers in connection with a wide range of projects, including the acquisition, financing, development, leasing, management and sale of office buildings, industrial parks, shopping centers, mixed use projects, industrial developments and hotel and resorts projects. 

Ms. Velazquez is experienced in the formation of partnerships, joint ventures, limited liability companies and structuring complex debt and finance issues, including workouts.

She is known as a deal maker and problem solver.
