Overview
Reeve Chudd is a Senior Partner in the Estate Planning, Probate and Trusts Department.
“You can’t do this work for 40 years without having a passion for it and a personal imperative to ensure that our clients understand our work for them in this area. The founder of our firm, John Ervin, was a professor of tax law and estate planning at the University of Southern California Law School, and John’s legacy and the firm’s commitment to estate planning expertise are the reasons why I came to ECJ directly out of law school.”
Reeve's practice is concentrated in the fields of estate planning, probate and trust administration, planned charitable giving and tax-exempt entities. He also focuses on non-tax issues of wealth transfers, such as the transition of control of family-owned businesses, providing an inheritance without inhibiting the drive and ambition of one’s heirs and protecting our children’s inherited wealth from themselves and others.
After graduate school, Reeve practiced for four years as a Certified Public Accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co. before attending law school.
