Overview
Alan M. Bergman is Of Counsel in the Real Estate Department.
His practice focuses on multi-residential and commercial real estate together with all related business and real estate transactional matters.
Alan was past General Counsel of America Savings & Loan as well as General Counsel to a major international real estate development and management company. He has been engaged in transactions including the purchase, sale, leasing, construction and financing of real property valued in excess of $4.5 billion. He was a name partner in a Los Angeles business law firm before becoming president of a construction company engaged in residential and commercial construction. During the financial crisis in the early 1990s Alan was named to chair a Past Practices Investigative Committee that was involved in the investigation of Savings & Loan fraud and bad business practices on behalf of the Savings & Loan industry and the then Federal Savings & Loan Insurance Corporation (FSLIC), as well as the Federal Home Bank.
Mr. Bergman is a past member of the Board of Governors of Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, California and has served as a member of the Police Review Board within the Los Angeles City Police Commission. He also maintains a Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating of AV Preeminent.
