  1. Launch Remote Desktop Session
  2. Select “Open” in the dialog box.
For Macintosh: If you’re connecting to ECJ Remote using Mac OS, follow these steps:

  1. Download RDC for Macintosh
  2. Read the Instructions
  3. Launch Remote Desktop Session

CITRIX

If this is the first time you’ve attempted to connect to the Citrix server from your current XP computer, you will need to download and install the Citrix client on the computer. The Citrix web page will recognize that you do not have the client and displays a link for you to click in order to download and install the client. When prompted, choose Open or Run, and answer Yes to any subsequent prompts. You will need to close and reopen your web browser after the installation. The first time you connect, you will be prompted to grant access to your local computer. Answer Full Access and Never ask me again. [If you need help, see the Citrix instructions on how to install the Citrix client.]

If you are at a computer which does not allow you to install programs (e.g., airport kiosks), don’t worry! Simply connect to the ECJ Citrix page and click “Advanced Options”; select “Client for Java”. This gives you all the functionality of the Citrix page except that you won’t be able to print. [If you need help, see the Citrix instructions on how to install the Java client.]

When prompted, choose Run, and accept all defaults; when it asks what type of client, select “.print Client Windows ICA” (last option). [If you need help, see the Citrix instructions on how to install the ThinPrint client.]
