Patrick Emerson McCormick is an associate in the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Department.
Patrick focuses his practice on intellectual property, technology, media, and corporate litigation in California and federal courts. He has represented tech giants, content creators, distributors, financiers, banks, and law firms.
During law school, Patrick worked at the USC Intellectual Property and Technology Law Clinic, where he represented clients in rights negotiations, E&O insurance obtainment and fair use analysis, and participated in roundtables at the US Copyright Office, lobbying for orphan works reform. He also externed for the Honorable Neil W. Bason of the Central District of California Bankruptcy Court.
Patrick serves on the Board of Directors as CFO for Friends of GALA, which supports Girls Academic Leadership Academy, the first public all-girl STEM school in California.
Patrick received his J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, and a B.S. with Honors in Journalism and Broadcasting from Oklahoma State University, cum laude.
