Lauren J. Katunich is an associate in ECJ’s Litigation and Employment Law Departments, where her areas of practice include representation of employers in all types of employment matters, including wrongful termination, sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour claims and advice for compliance with various employment laws.  In addition, Ms. Katunich has experience in anti-SLAPP actions, construction defect litigation and a broad range of general business litigation.Ms. Katunich is featured as a monthly resource on various employment law issues for the employment-based publication, HR Fact Finder and a frequent author in Martindale Hubbell’s Counsel to Counsel Labor & Employment Law Alert.  She is also a contributing author for ECJ’s Employment Law Reporter, a monthly publication designed to inform clients and friends about various employment law updates.  In addition, Lauren authored an article entitled State Supreme Court Deals Fatal Blow To Contractors Without Valid License, Builder Digest of California Magazine, April-June 2006.

Ms. Katunich graduated, cum laude and Order of the Coif, from Loyola Law School in 2003.  While in law school, Ms. Katunich was Chief Note and Comment Editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Entertainment Law Review and author of “Time to Quit Paying the Payola Piper: Why Music Industry Abuse Demands a Complete System Overhaul,” 22 Loy. L.A. Ent. L. Rev. 643 (2002).  She also received the Ahmanson Foundation Scholarship for academic excellence.

Ms. Katunich is a member of the State Bar of California, as well as the Los Angeles County  and American Bar Association.  She is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Central District of California and the Unites States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
