Kenneth P. Hsu is an Associate in the Litigation Department.

Kenneth’s practice focuses on complex business and corporate litigation in federal and state courts.  He has represented a wide range of companies, including local and national retailers, manufacturers, and technology companies, in various class actions, contract disputes, shareholder disputes, and other complex litigation matters.

During law school, Kenneth served as editor-in-chief of the Hastings Business Law Journal.  He also externed for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and for the Honorable Susan Y. Illston, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

Kenneth is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in California.

Representative Matters

  • Represented various companies in responding to shareholder demands and derivative claims.
  • Represented medical device company and its executive officers in successful dismissal of securities fraud class action at the pleading stage.
  • Represented CPA firm against audit malpractice claim by municipality, resulting in favorable settlement during discovery.
  • Represented manufacturer of wipes products against consumer fraud class action brought by several municipalities, resulting in favorable settlement during discovery.
  • Represented patent licensing company against contract and tort claims initiated by former customers, resulting in favorable settlements.
  • Represented corporate director and officer in successful appeal of attorneys’ fees award.
  • Represented national retailer in various employee class actions and representative actions asserting violations of the California Labor Code.
