David R. Shoop is a partner in ECJ’s Litigation Department. Mr. Shoop’s areas of practice include products liability, health care law and civil litigation. His representative clients include manufacturers of major products, heavy equipment, medical devices and consumer electronics. Mr. Shoop has extensive experience with the Consumer Products Safety Commission and related administrative matters. He has additionally represented physicians and hospitals in a variety of proceedings. Mr. Shoop is admitted to the State Bar of California and the Central and Eastern Districts in United States District Court, California. Mr. Shoop received his J.D. from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio in 2000, and he attended Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, earning a B.A., magna cum laude, Phi Kappa Phi in 1997.
Mr. Shoop additionally served on active duty in the United States Army in both Karlsruhe and Hanau Germany and was Honorably Discharged in 2000 after satisfying his reserve component obligations.
