Overview
Banu Naraghi is a Partner in the Litigation Department.
Banu’s practice focuses on corporate and intellectual property litigation in both state and federal court. She has represented a wide range of clients including content creators, investors, stake holders, and corporations in complex business disputes involving commercial contracts, shareholder rights, trade secrets, infringement of copyrights, trademarks, and patents, and other critical business matters. With a strategic and results-driven approach, Banu ensures her clients' business interests and assets remain secure and competitive. In addition to her legal practice, Banu is a local DJ and performs at events throughout Los Angeles.
During law school, Banu was a Clinical Intern for the Intellectual Property and Technology Law Clinic, which provides free legal assistance to artists, filmmakers, video game developers and start-up companies.
Prior to law school, Banu worked as an A&R intern for Sony/ATV Music Publishing and Atlantic Records.
Representative Matters
Successfully obtained summary judgment of a claim for direct and contributory patent infringement on behalf of a client for patents covering technology for combatting COVID-19 and similar contagions in aircrafts.
Obtained a favorable settlement on behalf of a clothing manufacturer who filed a trademark infringement action against a nationally recognized brand.
Obtained a favorable settlement on behalf of a footwear manufacturer in a trademark infringement dispute against a nationally recognized brand.
Obtained a favorable settlement on behalf of an international quick-service restaurant company in a joint venture dispute involving franchisees.
