ECJ Partners Phil Starr and Rick Cipra Represent Meta Housing Corp. in Real Property Acquisitions in North Hollywood

November 2007 ECJ Partners Phil Starr and Rick Cipra represented Meta Housing Corp. ("Meta") in connection with its purchase of three contiguous parcels of real property totaling approximately 60,000 square feet located in the North Hollywood Arts District. ECJ also negotiated and coordinated the financing for the project, which included a mix of conventional, non-profit and seller financing. The transaction closed November 15, 2007. Meta will build on the property a 124 unit senior housing project which will be patterned after Meta's other local senior housing developments, including the Burbank Senior Artists Colony, which won awards from the National Association of Homebuilders. The project will also include a 4,000 square foot ground-floor retail component.

Meta anticipates that EngAge, The Art of Active Aging, a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors through wellness activities, cultural events and the arts, will provide services to the Meta NOHO project. Phil Starr serves as a board member of EngAge. Meta is a Los Angeles-based real estate development company specializing in senior housing. Meta has developed over 2,500 housing units in Southern California since its inception in 1993. Meta has been represented by ECJ since inception.
